This is a guideline for how transcription quoting works:
There are factors of a quote that aren’t so quantifiable, such as part complexity. They affect the quote according to effect on delivery time. Factors like this only apply if delivery time is significantly affected.
Starting point is $30 for one monophonic instrument + chords for one minute.
Additional monophonic instruments are $10 and additional polyphonic instruments are $15.
Additional minutes increase multiplication by .5 (ex. 1x,1.5x,2x,2.5x etc.)
There is an exception with rhythm section instruments: This is the slash part - a part that really only has chord symbols and slash marks. A slash part is added at no charge if a polyphonic part with chords is completed. However, if it requires notation such as hits and cues they’re $5.
Ex.: 4m song with bass/four horns/piano= $125
Base transcription = $30
+4 monophonic parts (3 horns+ 1 bass ($40)) = $70
piano ($15) = $85
3 additional minutes (x2.5) = $135
